Roma

Rome was the first people of Oran. They formed the empire that lasted two millennia. They left before the fall of Rome, and the rise of the Holy Roman Empire.

As the first people they had no rivals, until the Germans came 1900 years after them.

Germany

After the loss of world War two, the German people, higher ups and their families, moved to Oran. They learned of rune travel in their occult studies.

The Godmaker.

Letum's father, Caligo, was known as the godmaker early in his reign. He used women who bore children of power, as breeders for an army of enhances people. Letum was modified as a child to be given all the powers of Oran.

Caligo decided early in his reign to control everything in the shadows. He instituted a comgress and voting, becoming a figure head, all the while controlling what really happened.

The people continued to vote for his supporters, not that it mattered, but they would vote against what they actually wanted.

This leads to the story. Letum's father ruining the empire and dissolving the outward power and influence of the crown.
